When Strategy Becomes You

This is a story, one of many where I stopped trying to force my purpose and allowed it to emerge through surrender—a journey that reminds me of the difference between doing and being, between strategy as something we grasp for and strategy as something we become.

Beyond the chatter of the mind and the distractions of the external world, there exists a greater intelligence pulsating throughout all of life. Yet recently, I had lost touch with this truth. I found myself struggling—struggling to figure it all out, to do my best, to get it right, and to make a difference. Each day seemed like the last, distinguished only by different nuances.

I was caught in what I now recognize as the trap of effortful striving, that rat race game of struggle and trying to set oneself apart in a sea of sameness. My personality—my egoic mind—had convinced me that the intangible couldn't be trusted, that others would disregard what I couldn't prove or package neatly. I had been swayed by practicality and lost touch with the magic, creativity, and power that had always been my guide.

This morning marked a turning point. I woke up inspired to continue pushing forward, but when I tuned into my body, I realized she wanted and needed something different—to simply lay in the sun. This simple act of listening became my gateway to understanding.

Lying on the ground in my backyard, I became aware of my breath, the warmth on my back, and the gentle dance of leaves on the trees. In this moment of stillness, I began to see beyond the surface. There is so much more to the movement of trees than we often acknowledge—and I imagine we all sense this truth. It isn't merely the wind; it is recognition itself. A seeing, a sensing, an attunement to the self as something far larger than the individual.

As I lay there, surrendered to the moment and at a loss for what my next strategy would be, I heard these words: "There is no strategy needed when strategy becomes you." This paradox penetrated me deeply, revealing a profound truth: when we stop trying to force our path and instead align with our essence, we access something beyond linear time and space—beyond reason, beyond doing, beyond the human mind. We touch our true divine nature.

This shift from doing to being became the key that unlocked everything that followed.

In this state of receptive awareness, I began to understand why my passion has always been Nature, and why my connection to Costa Rica feels so essential to who I am. She speaks to me even when I didn't know how to listen, and I realized there is an invitation to deepen this listening.

Costa Rica isn't just a place I love—it is my sacred medium. Just as paint and an empty canvas are to an artist, what a football field is to an athlete, what a kitchen is to a chef, Costa Rica is where I experience my greatness and connect with the divine feminine. It is where I feel alive, at home, expansive, and creative. I love the thrill of exploring in Nature—planning trips, experiencing magic through the natural world, and sharing these transformative moments with others.

This recognition revealed the marriage I had been seeking between the invisible and the practical. Experiences, journeys, and moments in Nature are my canvas, my field of play, my sacred workspace. They are how I translate the intangible wisdom into tangible transformation.

Understanding my own journey from struggle to surrender illuminated my mission to serve others through the same process. Just as I had to stop forcing strategy and allow strategy to become me, I saw that my role is to create spaces where others can make this same transition from doing to being.

My soul's assignment became clear: creating retreat journeys that are tremendously impactful, infused with intentionality and deep connection to the medicine, power, and transformative qualities that Nature radiates. This is my way to serve humanity—as if I were a doctor and time spent in nature were my prescription.

My gift is to empower entrepreneurs to curate and create unique moments in Nature that facilitate their fulfillment of their soul's mission, enabling them to make a profound impact in the lives of those they serve. I help them discover what I discovered in my backyard: that there is a greater intelligence moving through all things, and when we align with it rather than resist it, our work becomes effortless and infinitely more powerful.

This is the balancing act in this Mystery School of Earth: creating practical ways to express, share, and bring to life through physical manifestation the invisible, all-knowing, powerful creative force that lives at the core—the heart, the essence—of us all.

When we stop trying to make strategy happen and instead become strategy itself, we step into our sacred service. We become conduits for the greater intelligence that moves through all things. Our struggles transform into surrender, our doing becomes being, and our work becomes a prayer—love in action.

The journey from my backyard revelation to my Costa Rican calling shows that our deepest purpose often emerges not through force, but through the courage to listen, surrender, and trust the wisdom that wants to move through us. When strategy becomes you, you become a force of nature—quite literally, in service to the transformation of all life.
